Back to Bones is an animated short film made by 18 students at SCAD. Over the course of our senior year, we worked together to create a 5-minute film about two skeletons who are unwillingly raised from the dead and will do anything to rest in peace.
I had the amazing opportunity to serve as Animation Lead on this film and led a group of 10 animators to complete 81 shots within 10 weeks. I learned a lot about leading a team, assigning and critiquing shots, working with other Departments, and growing as an animator.
Many of my shots focus on the Knight and the Squire, the main characters of the film. I focused on portraying their different personalities, which meant finding believable ways to portray human emotion on a skeleton.
